I'd change that to 2 TB WD Black and the GPU to 2 970s for almost double the performance of the 980.

Or just buy a 980, 2 970s are 600 bucks one 980 is 500, and if you have a pet peave aobut the 3.5 gb for 4k then get the 980 if 1080p get the 970's

Nobody has mentioned this, but if the HDD is just for mass storage and doesn't need to be super quick, WD green is actually a decent decision. I have WD black and it is by far the loudest component in my build when I'm on idle. I hate noise, especially since I spend so much time studying in front of my PC.

Also if you're going for a single GPU and no plans to SLI in the future, then the 850W is overkill. You can get away with a good 550-650W PSU without any issues.

Do you have a budget you're working on?

Save some money by dropping the PSU down to a 500-600 watt unit.  The 980 and haswell refresh chip are pretty energy efficient and you won't need an 850w PSU.  Could also save some money by not going with the Mark 1 board.  If you like the aesthetic then by all means go for it, but you can get an equally good z97 board for 50-70 dollars cheaper.
