Hi everyone!

Lately I'v had a lot of pain in my mouse hands carpal and my lower back is killing me.

I'm not very rich, and when I am, that money soon devolves into some kind of PC upgrade!

So today I'm not looking for PC hardware, but a guide for the best Ergonomic Task chair for PC gaming value

and I could really use some help!

Now I know a lot of people purchase those DX racer chairs for 350$+

But for the person who doesn't have that much money to drop on a chair I was wondering

If anyone knew of some great chairs that are:    Price Range $0-220 CAD Or $0-190 USD

Qualities I'm looking for are as followed (if you have any good points too add feel free to post and I'll update)

  • Good for Price
  • Great for comfort
  • Adjustable arm rests if possible
  • Doesn't have to lean back (optional)
  • Will only be used 12 hours a day for a year ( warranty and life expectancy  can be low)
  • Is Ergonomic
  • Is a Task Chair ( these chairs are developed for prolong use over time)
  • Its look and aesthetic does not matter what so ever (It can be the ugliest color in the world, or have a cheetah pattern IDC)
  • testimonies from people who have sat in crappy chairs for years and finally obtained so and so ergonomic chair (Please stay within Price point)

If I missed any points Ill Edit and add them but I've found numerous chairs that fill the profile, I just need real reviews from REAL gamers and enthusiasts.

Thank you!

Crap, now I can't remember the name of my chair. It's form Ikea, but very comfortable. Will edit when I remember.

That was fast :) I have the Markus. Not too expensive, but very good for everyday use.

Oki doki, I'm going to office depot then Staples to check them out. If in person is the only way then, it makes sense.

Any other suppliers known in Canada that provide value chairs other then them?

Oh and I took a look at the Ikea, its nice but to big for my frame, thanks for the advice though!

This is what I have. It's really cheap and comforatable, has a lean lock, but the arm rests don't adjust

I used a nice leather chair from Staples for years did it's job with no complaints from me.  Though recently I picked up a MAXNOMIC® PRO-GAMING & OFFICE from needforseatusa.com (similar to DX racer) and I don't know how I used a regular chair all these years.  So I'd say if you can wait and save a bit more then do that, otherwise just go to sit in some chairs and get the one you like.

Stop right there, you don't want to be bothering with all of that kiddie crap.

What you want is an Aeron. I have sat in a lot of shit in my life literally and figuratively - take what you like away from my meaning with that. I suffer from back problems, occipital neuralgia and nasty issues of the lower regions (multiple surgeries). Being a Software Engineer and effectively working several jobs (office hours + freelance) means that I usually sit for around 9-12 hours each day. With this particular chair and given my combination of health problems it provides so much comfort that if I'm not careful I can easily forget to move at all for 4 hours! One literally forgets that they are sitting at all, it is a complete game changer. That said if I were to sit in some other thing I would start to thrutch around after only about 5-10 minutes.

Yes these chairs can be ludicrously expensive however I have seen many go for around your price range on eBay and the like.

To summarize; professional workaholic with bad back, neck and anus of 12+ years (sitting) experience highly recommends these chairs.

The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.
