So I've been playing Diablo 3 for the last couple of hours and about 15 minutes ago my fps went from 120+ per second down to about 30. Gpu2 dropped from 99% to 55% usage and gpu1 went from 75% down to 49-53%. Temps dropped from mid 70s down to about 55 each then it started coming back up and working normally.

I'm using MSi Afterburner to keep track of everything and have the Fan Speed controller set to auto.

For all areas or specific areas?  I have a map that absolutely kills my PC for no reason at all.  Others run perfectly fine.

It was the cemetery area in Act 5, it was working fine then dropped again when I was in an Act 3 area.

Cemetery?  For me it was the underground sewer (not the one in Act 2) with the rickety wooden platforms.  Every time I load into that map for Rifts, the FPS just drops through the ground.  I think I have a video, let me check.  Gets worse at 50 seconds in, drops to 12 FPS with nothing much happening.

Holy cow, so it seems it's just certain areas of the game? Good to know that I'm not the only one at least, was getting worried one of my cards died haha.

Make sure you optimize the game through Geforce Experience.

It is. The only thing I changed in the settings was having it set to windowed full screen so I could span the game across the full 3440x1440.
