Overclocking GPU Help

Go to solution Solved by terrytek,

I can only increase it 12mV in MSI Afterburner, is +12 too much?

Really, the most i would go is up by half a volt higher than what came stock. Any more and you risk an unstable card.

I'm not a total noob with overclocking, I've overclocked lots of CPUs with (varying) success.

However with GPU's I just don't have much success.

Could you give me any tips?

  • Does increasing voltage increase stability?
  • Is the performance gain even worth it?
  • How far can you overclock your memory?

I have a ASUS GTX770 DCUII, which I got from a friend as a thank you gift for some favour.

I just want to see how far I can overclock it.

Cheers!

That's not supposed to do that....

1. It sometimes can, but push it too far, and you risk crashing your card.

2. Some cases, yes, but not all.

3. Really, as far as you dare.
