How many Monitors do you already have?

If you have 2 then get another monitor later.

How many gigs of ram do you currently have?

If you have at least 12gigs then you'll be fine for streaming, browsing and gaming all at once.(if you have 8, get one more identical stick)

Do you have a SSD for your OS? If yes, do you have one for your storage and gaming?

If yes to both then go with the GTX 970, but if you don't have an SSD at all, get that first and with what's left get a 970.

If you have an SSD for your OS and no storage SSD and only 8 gigs of ram then I suggest getting an SSD and a stick of ram, and if you can't get the GTX 970 too then either save the cash or pick up the monitor of your choice for price range.

But in my opinion You should get the GTX 970 (or a GPU of similar performance and price) above all UNLESS your using mechanical Hardrives for storage AND Os, seriously upgrade those relics :P

EDIT: Almost forgot, another choice is to get a LEPA CPU cooler, they have a 240mm CPU cooler for 100 USD, a stick of ram, An SSD, and a monitor.

OR a LEPA CPU cooler GTX 970 and possibly a 4gb stick of ram
