CX430 & 660ti

Fate

I'm going to buy an MSI 660 ti power edition very soon and I was wondering if a CX430 will hold me over for a few months. I know the recommended is 450 watts but I'm guessing that's for safety purposes and assuming you have a low quality psu. Also my processor is not overclocked (3570k) because my mom bought me my motherboard and it's H77 (lol).

Thanks in advance,

Fate

Only one way to tell for sure...

But seriously, it's a single 12V rail power supply, and while it's not Corsair's finest power supply, it should hold up temporarily just fine as long as you're not overclocking the snot out of it.

Should work if you don't overclock. I have a Antec 520W and I can run my i7 2700K at 4.7Ghz and 660Ti(also OC'd) with no problem with both components at full load.

CPU: AMD 3950x Mobo: MSI B550 RAM: 32GB DDR4 GPU: Asus 3080 Strix PSU: Superflower Leadex 3 720w Case: BeQuiet 500DX

Storage: 2TB SSD + 4TB HDD Audio: SMSL 793ii -> HiFiman HE-400 + Mission MS-50 Speakers

I would recommend getting a PSU of 600 watts at least.

Good Morning...
