So I bought the Acer Aspire V15 Nitro Black Edition VN7-591G-70RT for $899 US. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834314849

I want to buy an SSD because the hard drive is slow. It has room for a M.2 SSD, but I want to be sure that the drive will fit. I don't know what dimensions the laptop supports. I want a 120 gig one because I want to buy 8 gigs of ram for it too. I just want to save money. Also, should I ditch the ram and upgrade the HDD to a 7200 rpm, or leave the 5400 rpm and upgrade the ram.

Would this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147397 fit in the laptop?

Any suggestions a would be much appreciated

If it already has 8GB, get the HDD updated. You want the HGST Travelstar 7K1000. It should be a 1TB 7200RPM drive, I believe. This one, in fact http://www.amazon.com/HGST-Travelstar-2-5-Inch-Internal-0J22423/dp/B00B4QESVQ

And TRUST ME. You want a 256GB SSD and not a 128GB. You will thank me later. Crucial BX200, M600 and Plextor M6e M.2 are good alternatives to the 850 Evo, as afaik they get less hot at the controller. But excepting maybe the BX200, Samsung kind of wins with the price with their 850 EVO drives.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.
