driver issue?

So.. my PC has started acting really weird.

i have a Logitech speaker system, but i can't use that anymore, because i can't turn the audio down. even when the volume is turned all the way off on the speakers, it still as loud as max volumes volume.

 

does anyone else have this problem, and how do i fix it??

 

 

 

speaker sys: Logitech Z506

 

audio driver: realtek_hd_audio_6.0.1.7464

 

motherboard: MSI z87-g43 gaming (it also did it on my old MB, a asrock z87 extreme 3)

how would i fix that??

 

do i need to disassemble the speacker with the volume knob??
