how future proof are these designs? wanna get the best bang for the buck, also if theres anything that i could put say an exstra 100 into what would u suggest?

They're very future proof. The CPU's are all new as well as the graphics cards that have been suggested. If you're going to put more money into something I would do graphics card. Especially because you want to do a multi-monitor setup.

How picky are you? Does response time or refresh rate mean a lot to you?

You could get a couple of these by Asus which are pretty cheap

or

You could get either of these:

BenQ XL2411T *update* I think this is only available from the uk so it will take longer to get to you. Could be wrong but keep in mind.

Asus VG248QE

which are both more expensive but because of that will probably be nicer.

Here you go: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/1fWP7

The section is sli ready. You can replace the 770 with the 7970 if you don't mind going with AMD. It's cheaper and the performance is neck to neck. http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-video-card-fx797atdjc
