i am currently running an amd fx 4300 quad core overclocked from 3.8Gh to 4.3Gh. i have attempted to go further but if i up the multiplier or the FSB, i crash as soon as i start prime95. if i up the voltage, my system does not post. it simply reboots and idles until i shut it down and clear the CMOS. i have tried nearly quite a few different voltages all ending with the same result. i've seen others with this processor overclock up to 5Gh and i just feel there is so much more potential. if anyone has any suggestions, please let me know. if u need system specs, also let me know. thank you

It's a matter of luck. All chips are different. Some can hit 5Ghz, some can barely reach 4.5Ghz or in this case, 4.2Ghz.
