Help in choosing Graphics Card

dell optiplex 9020 mt

 

Processor Intel® Core™ i7-4790 CPU @ 3.60GHz, 3601 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)

 

RAM: 4 GB

 

i am adding another 4 GB of RAM

 

and i want a video card, i am not a gamer

 

i am a civil engineer student 

 

I am running 

1. photoshop cc

2. adobe premiere pro

3. AutoCad

 

but i feel that my Pc is little bit struggling  + I need a HDMI port

 

but i dont want to change my power supply

I mostly use photoshop, unless you're working with super high resolution images, a 750ti should do the job. Though some things might take longer to load. Or you could look at quadro cards if you want 10-bit color stuff.

I'd suggest GTX 750Ti, it's cheap but performs very well + power efficient (doesn't need power cable).

Look at specs of the computer. A 290w is plenty to run that system in default configuration. There was no need for dell to put in any higher wattage. Hell, they could have put in a 250w psu and it would have still ran fine.
