So I just put a 7950 in Crossfire with my 7970 and the core clocks stock are at:

7970: Core @ 925 mhz --- Memory @ 1375 mhz

7950: Core @ 925 mhz --- Memory @ 1250 mhz

How would I go around overclocking the 7950? I can stable at 1100 Core & 1600 Memory on my 7970 and its fine.

Do I have to run it at the same speeds or?

CrossFire will match the speeds of the lowest card

the HD7970 will downclock to the HD7950 speeds

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Yes, and only a part of the gpu will run - it will be the same as having two 7950s at the lowest clock of the two. Try reaching the highest stable overclock that both cards cn handle and call it a day.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

Oh okay, and I get the two same cards (7970 and 7970) the clock speeds should be the same if i OC them the same

yea it good idea to have the two same GPU series for best performance of CF

I suggest overclock the 7950 around +80mhz higher than the 7970.
