Help ?! Novice here

Hi, I have created this topic as I am in need of help and don't want to screw up, I want to upgrade my graphics card because on GTA V it get a maximum of 25FPS on the settings I would prefer. I think it's my graphics card what needs upgrading, as I said in the title I'm a complete novice. Here are my specs on my current build

Cooler Master CM690 II case

950W High Efficiency G7 Extreme Modular Super Silent Power Supply

MSI B75MA-E33 Intel Motherboard

i7-3770 Quad Core Processor 3.5Ghz

3GB AMD RADEON HD7950

2TB SATA III 6Gb/s, 7200rpm, 64MB Cache, 8ms Hard Drive

As I said I don't know what to do to help my FPS , I've tried using AMD overdrive and yet still had no avail, if any parts are in need of upgrading my price range is about £300-£400, any help and tips would be greatly appreciated.

Throw away the power supply.

Yeah, it would be the graphics card causing the lack of performance.

Try to invest in a good 970 or a cheap 980 if they fit into your budget ! and who told you to use that power supply?  You can power a whole city with that !

Hahaha, thank you for the help   and I'll look at the 970 or 980 now thank you, those are GeForce aren't they, would I be alright switching from radeon to geforce, I'm a complete idiot in this area

You might aswell go with a 970 as it's much cheaper.

Your PSU is dodgy. Dodgy PSU = death to ALL your components in the long run. Replace it as fast as you can.

Your card is pretty good, it is above the recommended specs of Shadow Of Mordor, thus above the specs of GTA V.

 

YOUR GPU IS PROBABLY NOT BE THE PROBLEM.

 

1. What resolution are you playing at?
2. What settings are you playing at?
3. @ADZ_123_!"£ found a solution to fix GTA V framerates.
4. Did you clean out dust in your PC?
5. What are your temps?

Getting a 970 or a 980 may not help.

My resolution is 1920 x 1080 , I'm on high for about every settin and on x8 for MSAA, Yes my PC is cleaned out and my GPU goes to about 50-60 degrees Celsius after playing and my CPU get to about 32 degrees Celsius, and I'm going to attempt ADZ_123_!'s solution now, can't thank you guys enough for the help , and if the poweer supply needs to be gone, can anybody recommend a suitable replacement ?

Any corsair or EVGA psu should be good as long as it's from a reputable brand then it should be okay.

I'm sorry but unless you literally do want 30 fps even with my fix you are not going to play with x8 msaa you should try to drop it to x4 or x2.
