Is this a good phone?

Should I get it, it looks interesting.

How would it compare speedwise to my gen 1 moto x?

It's got the same specs as the moto g, if that's any help. The design is interesting, although not exactly good if you're prone to dropping your phone - it'll break easier than an iPhone 4.

It's not a bad phone, but it's a low midrange device these days.
