Cumulative Windows 8.1 updates

Hey everyone, quick question. Does Microsoft (or reputable 3rd party) release cumulative updates to Windows 8.1? It does get rather annoying to have to spend a day updating Windows after a fresh install, would be nice to download a single file, install, and done.

I'm pretty sure Microsoft does not because I spent like 2 hours installing a million updates after formatting my computer.
