Hi everyone, if the name of this thread hasn't made it apparent enough, I have been getting BCCode 116. I made a forum when I was getting this is Battlefield Hardline because I thought it was just that game, but I just got done with a crash in War Thunder. http://answers.ea.com/t5/Battlefield-Hardline/BSOD-BCCode-116-only-in-BFH/td-p/4481649this is the thread i made. If you read through that thread you will see how I have tried many different things. I will list all of what I have tried.

1. Updating my video drivers (I've re installed them, no joke, about 10 times now)

2. Moving my GPU to a different PCI slot (Asus GTX 780 Ti DCII)

3. Doing a complete windows re install

4. A full PC rewire (I was getting desperate)

5. Changing Graphics settings

6. I ran several benchmarks all with good results:

Unigine Valley: Max setting ran just fine several times consecutively with a max temp of 60 degrees Celsius no bluescreen

FurMark: Ran 1920 x 1080 with 8xMSAA max temp of 70 degrees Celsius no bluescreen

OCCT: I ran OCCT just fine for 30 minutes with 7 shader complexity and a resolution of 1920 x 1080. I got a max of 52 degrees Celsius and I didn't go below 60 FPS. I almost think I missed some more intense graphic settings no bluescreen

Unigine Heaven: I maxed out all the setting I could find (with the exception of my 1920 x 1080 resolution) and I even turned the tessellation sliders all the way to the right (I dont even know if I should do that, but I could a big drop in performance so why not stress my GPU even more?) and the FPS was pretty horrendous, staying mostly in the 20's, and my max temp was 70 degrees Celsius. I had no problems whatsoever. aaaaaand finally no bluescreen

7. BIOS update

And that about all I have really done. I have a gut feeling that the problem is not my GPU, but I still have no clue. Here are my system specs: Windows 7 64 bit

Asus GTX 780 Ti DCII (not overclocked)

Intel i5 3330 (yeah I know it's weak)

P8Z77-V LK Asus motherboard

16Gb of G-Skill Ripjaws Z series Ram

650 Watt Rosewill Hive Powersupply

2tb Seagate Barracuda HDD

I will now provide an explanation of when the problem occurs. Take note that I havn'y played War Thunder enough to recognize any patterns (just now got the BSOD on it) so I will be basing the circumstances of the BSOD off of battlefield hardline.

It typically starts when I play a few matches of BFH multiplayer, and it will start to happen more and more frequently to the point of BSOD'ing when I launch the game. A way of resetting this seems to be either changing PCI slot the GPU is in or uninstalling and re installing drivers, but these only serve to delay the BSOD. As previously mentioned, I have ran the Unigine Valley benchmark on maximum settings several times consecutively right after a BSOD and have not encountered any issues. Ever since I started playing BFH I have been getting BCCode 116 and I have never gotten it with any other games before or since. Although I have had one strange instance: While playing BFH my screen went black and I decided to press ctrl alt del before my PC restarted and I was brought back to my desktop. When I tried to join a server I would get a message saying I could not connect and to try again later. After restarting my PC I was able to join, only to BSOD shortly after.

I dont really know what else to say. I hope someone out there can provide sufficient advice because I don't like crashing all the time. Please, help me Obi Wan Kenobi, you're my only hope.

if moving the gpu to another pci slot helps it could be a motherboard problem. perhaps check your mobo for scratches or something like this. if you scratch your mobo there can appear all sorts of weard problems

If I test my system with different GPUs I'm assuming this problem would still occur if it was a motherboard issue?

doesnt have to. i had the same problem with my msi z87-g43 where i scratched the mobo with my gpu while putting it in. it worked till activated the igpu and then died :D

it turned out that from this point it only works with ram which has the memory modules on the left side :D

so weird things can happen when your mobo has problems :D

perhabs its just the psu. does it have 80+ certification?
