a couple questions...

Go to solution Solved by TheSLSAMG,

Motherboard and GPU don't have to match in terms of brand, the motherboard will not need an update and get the cheapest RAM from a decent company. There will be no major differences between motherboard revisions (it says it on the sticker on the box what revision it is) and it simply doesn't matter.

1. buy the asus strix vresion, and no, having matching brand mobo and gpu does not improver performance
2. no idea
3. all ram is created equal... getting cheap ram is best
4. what mobo are you gonna get? make sure its socket 1150 and you should be golden

Why a STRIX over anything else, and an LGA 1150 board won't necessarily be okay. OP linked a Z97X-SLI which is fine without an update, but any Z8x/H8x/B8x series boards will need an update unless they were built with the update.

Hello, i going to buy tomorrow hardware and i have some questions:

1. maybe is the dumbest question ever ask here but i want gigabyte MB, and i buy the GTX 960. i dont know what to buy the Asus version or the gigabyte version. my question is: it better to buy the gigabyte GTX 960 because my MB is gigabyte or it doesn't matter (even in 1% performance)

2. in gigabyte web i notice there is 1-3 version of the same MB

1.0 1.1 and 1.2 how can i know witch one i get ? were in the box it's written ? and what is the big difference between them (only the major one if any...)

3. i read that the most recommended ram (for budget building) is the must cheap one from a known company... so in my country this is the must cheap:

its very cheap ram comparing to the other rams so is this ram is ok? ? why they are so cheap ?? its better do add few more money and buy better one ?

4. my CPU will be I7 4790. if i buy the MB that i link here (in question 2) i need to do a bios update ? (if i dont need its recommended?)

Really thanks for the help and sorry of my lame english :)
