USB disconnecting during bootup

Go to solution Solved by KemoKa,

Have you got it plugged into a USB 3.0 port? USB 3.0 devices sometimes have a hard time connecting at first. They don't initialize at the same time as USB 2.0, or in the same way. That's why you still see USB 2.0 on even the most flagship of flagship motherboards, because 2.0 is compatible with absolutely everything.

Hello everyone!
I have some weird problem with my 2 month old custom pc, which is that 99/100 times I boot it up, one of the usb devices connected (almost always the internet adapter) isn't identified by the computer as connected, and all I have to do to get it to work is unplugging it and plugging it back in..

In addition to all of that, it  sometimes just randomly disconnects for some reason..
MOBO: GA-78LMT-USB3

internet adapter: Netgear WNDA3100v2 N600
This issue has been noticed about a week after assembling and using the pc and is driving me nuts, and yes, the Mobo drivers are installed.
Any help would be appreciated!

Sounds like faulty ports or USB devices. I'd check devices one at a time in each port and see if any ports or devices consistently work while others don't.

Im sure they do work, but they sometimes dont right after startup.. my bad about not being clear   ^_^

as for the random disconnection, it has only happened once or twice so far, so nothing really to worry about.

It was a usb 2.0 adapter plugged into a usb 3.0 hub.. I have no idea how stupid I was not to realize this  :D

Thanks a lot for the help!
