I would just like some suggestions on good load outs for the 325a. also would it be a good idea to invest in the gimbal mounts?

That depends on your set up. Mouse and keyboard typically uses gimbals, hotas typically uses fixed mounts.

As for loadout, I believe the current meta for boom and zoom are the sledges.

To add to CommanderFett comment, it also varies on weapon preference, for example I love Badgers which are fast projectile, rapid firing which works well to see if your previous shot was on target and able to follow up shots, others prefer Omni's which are fast projectile, slower firing but heavy hitters that can take mustangs out in one to 2 shots.

I've found that you need to mix weapons with the same projectile speed or have multiple weapon groups.

So what I'm trying to say is you need to find your own preference.

Sledges are receiving a significant nerf this patch, which would bring them down from ridiculous to decent. I presume later on they will be tweaked a bit in the other direction and will become quite good. They are a size 1 weapon and still do a decent bit of damage if you aim them well so if you are a mouse user and not into high ROF, they will be ideal.

The Omniskys are still good weapons too... OS6 for fixed and OS3 for gimbaled would be fine with the 325.

And if you are not really into that whole aiming business and prefer to spray and pray (*winks at spoon*) fixed badgers or gimbaled bulldogs are quite good too.

As Fett said, at present the decision between gimbaled or fixed depends entirely on your controller. With a joystick you can't move your gimbals independently so you will be using gimbaled weapons as fixed anyway and it's better to just skip the gimbals and put on bigger guns. With a mouse, you will get very accurate aim with gimbals but would have to use smaller weapons.
