Any tips? (Plans for new Gaming PC)

Go to solution Solved by ShadowCaptain,

yeah shadow of mordor is probably the only semi-interesting one for me :P

well there are more I was just explaining what I meant by AAA, if you are only playing less graphically intensive games then a 860 will be fine

You could also look into an R9 280x or R9 290, which could be a good option too :)

It really depends if you want to spend the extra on more performance

Hey, just wanted some pointers or critique on my new plans.

Don't know your budget but it seems a decent PC, the 960m should be ok for the games you have planned, but if you plan to player newer AAA titles I would suggest aiming for a 970 to help push that 144hz monitor

960 is not the best choice. Try to go with 970 then, especially if u want to go 120+ fps.

280x has more vram and is faster, depends on games, its just cheaper normally. They are kinda neck and neck a 290 290x, 970, 980 will give lot more for your money.

well there are more I was just explaining what I meant by AAA, if you are only playing less graphically intensive games then a 860 will be fine

You could also look into an R9 280x or R9 290, which could be a good option too :)

It really depends if you want to spend the extra on more performance

So, the monitor is around $225... so roughly $1000 (or euros).  This should easily get you into a i5 4690K + GTX 970(or R9 290X).

well, the best part is... I allready got the monitor  :P  ;)  :D

i love the g1 gaming, all should give you the same performance, mostly. Evga is also good, just because of the company policy's.

How is the price here?  Black and white build:

Remember, you don't need to overclock the CPU right away.  Use the CPU cooler money on the core components.
