GT 940M Benchmarks

Go to solution Solved by markymark,

really? You sure ?

GTX = Gaming chip

GT = Ordinary

GT940M is only 384 Cuda cores and DDR3. It will be very similar in performance to the 840M.

Does anyone have any good benchmarks or professional reviews of this mobile GPU ? I have decided to grab a gaming laptop with this GPU. I did some research and it seems pretty new, however when trying to find reviews or even gaming benchmarks nothing comes up, as if it flew directly under the radar.

Thanks for you help ^~^

940M is like a Rebrand of the GT750M

powered by GDDR3 RAM

great for LoL,WoW and CS:GO

but not great for Crysis 3

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

watch out for the GTX850M

some models only use GDDR3 instead of GDDR5

much better. I'd say that's about 10-15% weaker than the 750ti, so will actually be decent for games.

unless you have a specific reason you are suggesting that, like that one being hot, I'd say the money is better spent on the dead pixel warranty service if he's on a budget. That'll also make it take longer to ship since it'll have to stop at xotic.

maybe i one of those few who hates a overheating laptop

so far the laptops i used all have issues with cooling

either poor design or just fail entirely after one or two years

note that even if the GPU is based on maxwell

they still run hot in an enclosed casing and a slim chassis may make cooling a lot worse
