I have the same case and am planning a custom loop (currently running the case on air). I have been advised, as I do not know much myself, that a 240 rad on its own wont be enough.

this is a link to my build http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/339645-new-watercooling-build-advice-needed/, to summarise though i plan to use a 280mm rad upfront, a 120mm rad in the rear and maybe a 160mm rad (2 x 80) in the bottom rear.

But I have since thought of maybe going to a higher fpi rad so that I can get more heat dissipation per rad installed.

The case will be cramped for a custom loop but if like me you just like the look of it im sure it will be worth it in the end.

there wont be enough space for a 280mm rad (and for cpu only loop you wont need more than 240mm rad (tripple check clearance between your gpu and rad i have 1mm of clearing between them)

Wouldn't be my choice of case if I wanted something remotely portable but whatever floats your boat.

I also wouldn't do a custom CPU loop since there is lots of good CPU-coolers and the greatest benefit with custom WC is getting better and quieter cooling for your GPU (Which really wouldn't hurt with a 290).

i know but watercooling a xfx r9 290 is like crashing a ferarri to get a honda accord bechause the xfx coolers are so pretty.
