Best Solution for 4k?

Which is the best solution for 4k considering vram memory size and how well it will run games with higher memory usage like shadow of mordor in the future

 

970 sli, 980 sli, titan x, 295x2, or crossfire 290x 8 GB

Defenitly not 970s becuase of the 3.5gb or VRAM. I would go 980 SLI. Another thing to consider is a single Titan X. But the 295x2 is going to be probably the best option.

Crossfire dual 8gb 290X IMO. Cheaper than running a single titan X, and gives similar if not same performance, while pulling a bit more wattage and heat.

295x2 but even then don't expect to ramp up AAA games to ultra and expect 60fps. The hardware has not had time to get powerful enough to drive the massive pixel gap from 1140p > 4k.

not taking money into consideration I would go with a Titan X but even then you have to crank things way down to get a nice frame rate.
