Choosing a good camera

Hi, so I've been really wanting a nice camera, but I have a low budget so a DSLR wouldn't be in my reach. I've also been checking out the  Sony RX100M III but it's soooo expensive, so I've just decided to get a point and shoot camera at a $300 price range. What point and shoot camera should I get?

Have you considered buying used?  If you are located in the US check out KEH.com.  They tend to have good deals and their grading system is fairly conservative.  Would you be able to hold off until you get more cash or do you need to buy a camera right away?  If you can, I would suggest waiting until you can purchase what you want instead of buying something now then buying what you really want later down the road.

there are lots of used Micro Four Thirds and cheaper DSLRs in that price range
