Best headset under $50

Like the title says. I'm leaning towards the Sentry Harmoniq Pro. For that price it seems good. Also the Logitech g230 and the SteelSeries Siberia v2. Any other headsets I don't mind used or refurbished.

This video made me buy the Superlux HD668B headphones with the Zalman clip on mic thing. The Superlux does not have great bass but apart from that I really like them.

Yes, you already nailed it. Logitech G230 (and especially the G430), the Siberia V2, and here's one that I'd add to it.

The Superlux HD 668B are fantastic headphones for the money. They will tickle your ears with quality sound, and when you consider that they were only $30-40ish, (the price varies all over the place), you will be astounded. I recommend these a lot.

I have no experience with the G230, so I really can't tell. I do know that gaming headsets tend to sacrifice one component over the other (like having a good mic, but bad sound or vice versa)

From what I've seen the SteelSeries Siberia v2 has better sound quality but a crap mic. The logitech headset has better mic quality yet not as good sound. The Sentry has the best mic quality yet some say not comfortable and some say as good as $10 earbuds. Yet I'm a gamer not an audiophile.
