Hi so this is my first post on the forums so I need some help.

I have a pc that is only one year old

Here are the specs.

i5 4670k

Msi Gaming 5

8gb gskill @1866 mhz

H105 Cpu cooler

850w EVGA PSU

Corsair C300 case

GTX 970 windforce GPU

and the fans are where I need help.

So lately I've been staying up late working on my PC doing things like rendering and such

But the fans are to loud for my taste and I've already lowered them to their minimum but it doesn't really help and I was wondering if there was some software that would allow me to bypass these limits.

Also that fans are the SP120s from the H105, 2 bitfenix specter pro 140mm and one Aerocool dead silence but most are 3 pin so if you have any suggestions Thanks!

Get low noise adapters for the fans I've got them on my fans for my system and hardly notice its on anymore.

Welcome to the forum.

Software can only help by creating a custom fan curve. If you are wanting to reduce the RPMs lower than the software is capable then you will need to get voltage reducers, like those included with Noctua fans. As you go about reducing fan speeds, I would make sure to closely monitor your temps so that you don't risk thermal damage if you are running your machine under heavy loads.

Low noise adapters or a fan controller are probably the two best options.

There's also the case of individual people having different opinions on what constitutes a "noisy" system.

I'm finding my tolerance for noise is going down as I get used to a more quiet system. I couldn't possibly go back to the type of noise level that was common only a few years ago.

Noise dampening fan mounts may help a bit as well. And although it may sound odd, finding the correct setup for your case when it comes to flow direction, can also affect the noise significantly. I have a side mounted fan, which cause more noise when blowing out rather than when sucking in. Silencing a computer case is to a large extent a trial and error thing.

Or u could just go for Noctuas theyc are expensive but worth it and they are near silent at relatively low rpm's.post-199621-0-03614100-1428864172.jpg
