Just a quick build log to show my current pc build.

 

System

• CPU
  i5 4670k 4.4ghz
• Motherboard
  MSI Z97-G55
• RAM
  ADATA 8gb 2x4
• GPU
  EVGA GTX 970 Superclocked acx 2.0 
• Case
  NZXT Phantom 240
• Storage
  240gb ssd crucial
• PSU
  EVGA 850W Supernova G2 (yes overkill)
• Display(s)
  ASUS VG248QE - X2
• Cooling
  noctua nh-d14 (want to replace it because it is f*in huge)

 

Plans: Painting the GPU and backplate (waiting for the backplate) repainting the PSU cover, changing the cpu cooler because it's too big compared to the rest of the build, 

the noctua cooler cools really good but i don't like it in this build.

i'll be painting the backplate, and the shroud of the GPU, i will leave the evga sticker on the side with the blue.(last picture)

i agree with you, i think it fits with the mobo aswell.

i don't HATE it, but it's so big compared to the rest, and i'm just looking for a cleaner look.

it's a great cooler, great for overclockers.

Incase you are fine with air cooling take a look at bequite's range of coolers,they look so better than the noctua one's while staying slim.
