Partial Screen Size? Need Help!

Jayhawk
Go to solution Solved by dragoon20005,

I have an R9 280X. How would I go about changing the scaling?

it will be under screen resolution

if not CCC should have the option too

Well, I apparently made a mistake by swapping out my shitty ASRock motherboard with an MSI SLI Plus Krait Edition. Now only part of my screen is being used up, leaving annoying black bars around my partial screen. However, if I lower the resolution to 1050p or 768p, the entire screen is once more used up, but I bought a decent 1080p monitor for a reason, so does anyone have any suggestions? I'm desperate here. Also, know that I already installed the latest drivers for both my motherboard and GPU, so that's not the cause.

CPU: i7 4790k @ 4.6 GHz Motherboard: MSI SLI Plus Krait Edition RAM: 16 GB (2x8) 1866 MHz Kingston Black Fury Series GPU: Gigabyte GTX 970 G1 Gaming Case: NZXT S340 (Black) Storage: Intel 730 Series SSD (240 GB), Seagate Barracuda (1 TB) Display: LG 24MP55 Cooling: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus Keyboard: Corsair K95 RGB for gaming (1st Player Fire Dancing for typing) Mouse: Logitech G502 Sound: Corsair Gaming 2100 Vengence 7.1 Headset Operating System: Windows 10

Overscale thingy. What is your GPU? You just need to change in settings the scaling to 0% if I'm not wrong.

Budget? Uses? Currency? Location? Operating System? Peripherals? Monitor? Use PCPartPicker wherever possible.

Are you using the hdmi output on your gpu. If so go into catalyst control centre and screen/ display settings (cant remember). From there adjust over/ underscan accordingly.
