This is my first PC build, and I plan on using it for gaming primarily and editing also. So far I have chosen the parts that I want, but obviously it is a bit overkill, and frankly just too expensive. Anyway, if anybody will check out my build and give me any advice and/or suggestions on my build that would be great, thanks in advance! http://pcpartpicker.com/p/qwL6dC

ok thanks will using the MSI GeForce 980 GPU and the Asus PB287Q cause any bottlenecking?

You won't have to worry about a bottleneck with gpu/cpu. You might want to just get a 4690k and the monitor I linked below. It's only like 3 fps difference in games with 4790k.

What is i still used the monitor I have in my Partpicker build, I'm not sure if even you know, but will there be any problems with that monitor and the rest of my build? The one I have in my build is a little bit cheaper and I am trying to find ways i can shave money off of my build if possible.

Ehh it's kinda common knowledge bud. I posted the FPS you will get with a single 980 at 4k. If you're okay with 30fps then thats your call. I'm just saying with that other monitor you will get a much better experience. You don't need a 4790k for gaming everyone knows that. If you aren't doing any rendering you're just wasting your money.

ok thanks for the reply, I'm just new to PC building so that's why I don't understand the common things that "everyone knows." Thanks for the help!

Pretty solid build. If you can afford the 4790k I would get one, no reason to downgrade just because. Will come in handy with editing and could be utilized in the future as developers get on the hyperthreading and DirectX 12 API bandwagons.

I'd suggest a different cooler though like the Kraken x61 or x41, both of which fit perfectly in the H440. I have an x41 in mine and love it.

My build is almost identical to yours outside of the processor and does great in 1440p. I'd settle for that over 4k, but if you throw a 2nd 980 in there down the road you should be good. Could always scale down to 1440p on that monitor when needed.
