Afterburner problem

Go to solution Solved by SkixAces,

ok so then it is confirmed a driver problem and when you're sure it is solved please use the solved button just play for a while first though to make sure hope all goes well on the stock drivers :)

It seems to be sorted on the newest driver (14.12, not the beta driver)

Im not sure what did the trick, I did the following:

*cleaned the pc with compressed air

*reseated it again

*Followed this faq to delete the driver: http://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/GPU57RemoveOldGraphicsDrivers.aspx

*I deleted msi afterburner.

After I did all of that I installed the newest driver and the problem seems to be gone

To be sure im gonna play a quick game of counter strike global offensive, and if its gone I am going to klick the solve button :)

good to hear no problems so far, if the problem does not persist in the next couple of hours or so please "Mark Solved" on the appropriate comment so that if others come across this thread they can solve the issue too, i hope all goes well and you're welcome for the help good luck happy gaming :)

After updating the driver to 14.12 (the newest normal driver not beta) The problem is there again -_-. This is so fking annoying. Everything was fine whit the driver that was on the DVD. When I go to afterburner you can see that everytime the weird glitch appears the gpu usage goes up: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wr247tvpy8fsbgm/Schermafdruk%202015-04-09%2022.00.03.png?dl=0

Very weird

So do you feel it is the GPU that has an issue or afterburner? i mean all drivers your using seem to start getting messed up when you open afterburner is that correct? this only starts happening when you open afterburner or it happens regardless?

The driver that is on the DVD works perfectly fine. The newest driver from amd not. I have removed it again and installed the new one 14.12 which was failing before. Until now nothing, but I hope I dont jinx it xD. Everytime the weird brown textures popped up afterburner said the gpu usage was 90-100% so there was something going on with the gpu, which I think was because of the driver. Lets hope it just works now. Gonna play a match of Counter Strike Global Offensive to see if it returns

EDIT: just seconds after posting this it happened again :( Im just gonna install the older driver again which I know works fine

Maybe try turning off Graphics overdrive in CCC? it may be conflicting with afterburner, i mean i have my GPU overclocked and i also have overdrive enabled so if it is disabled enable it, if it not enabled then try disabling it.

Now i am confused lol so are we good at the moment? no problems on your current driver?

edit: okay install them i would advise waiting for a later driver than the one that seems to be causing issues but keep your stock drivers handy always, maybe when that beta driver becomes not beta try that.

Yeah, I just managed to play 1 match of competitve csgo and it took 28 rounds. I had the weird texture popins sometimes, but I had no crashes and the temps were fine. That was on the newest driver. Im now gonna downgrade it again to the driver which is on my CD
