Hello.

 

I have a big problem with my laptop, maybe you guys can help me out. I have Samsung NP500P4C-T03CL Laptop, i can hear that the cpu cooler is spinning and the power indicator is on, but I see nothing on screen, no bios screen, no sound, nothing. The laptop worked fine yesterday, because i formatted and reinstalled W7 on it.

 

please help :(

CPU : AMD Phenom II 955BE @3.2ghz : 2x4gb ddr3 1333mhz : Video card : Sapphire Radeon HD 7790 Dual-X OC : Motherboard : MSI Nf725m-p43

If u can, go for the RMA. When laptop's bios do not post, it sux.

will it no longer work after you re formatted it or did you reformat it when it stoped working

 

I formatted yesterday, my sister used it  for a few hours then she turns it off. I was going to use it today and got the black screen and all the symptoms that I just described above

Does the screen backlight turn on, or nothing at all?

When you turn it on it should go from a "real" black to a "Fake" black.

It's quite obvious.

It's quite obvious.

Unless it's got really good dynamic contrast and OP's in a bright room. If there is no output from an external display then the mobo is probably dead unless the display is broken.

I've worked on this exact model of laptop, it really doesn't. 

Though, if it doesn't display to an external, I would take it apart and check cables, connections, and re seat as much as I can; IIRC RAM, HDD, Display, and Power LB is removable.

Check for corrosion or wear and reseat each connection.

Make sure it has enough charge for one,

Make sure the backlight is turned on (probably a function key on the keyboard)

 

It's probably also a good idea to completely remove the battery and put it back in and try

I hadn't heard of this laptop before now so you're probably right...

Could also try running it with the bare minimum of components EG ram, cpu, screen but no wireless card, nothing plugged in to the USB ports
