Maybe someone should host one on freenode.net. I'd be in chat all day man.

Freenode isn't the best place for it, given that freenode is for open source software. See their home page: "You've reached freenode, an IRC network providing discussion facilities for the Free and Open Source Software communities, not-for-profit organizations, and related communities." EsperNet would probably be a better fit, as their charter says: "EsperNet is intended as a forum for conversation."

 

For those interested in IRC: The most recommended Windows client is HexChat. Linux's most recommended is irssi, and OSX's is Colloquy (to my knowledge.) If you'd rather not use an installable client, you could use KiwiIRC.
