Hallo everybody,

First of all im sorry for all my mispells and mistakes, english isn't my mothertongue. Actually Im German.

I already mentioned it another thread that I was thinking about upgrading my old amd set up into a new Intel one.

This thread helped me already a lot but there are still some questions I have when it comes to some peripherals.

So my main use for a Computer is probably Gaming.

I mainly play League of Legends, Payday 2 and future games like GTA V.

I also want to record my LoL games for practice and I want to do streaming with this new machine.

The new Computer should run GTA V and The Witcher 3 in at least High, better Ultra Settings. (If this is possible for the pricing)

so this are my specs:

  • CPU
    AMD FX 8320
  • Motherboard
    MSI 970A-G43
  • RAM
    1x 8GB G.Skill 1.333
  • GPU
    AMD Radeon R7850 Core Edition
  • Case
    CMStorm Scout 2 Advanced
  • Storage
    120 GB SSD Kingston / 1TB 3,5" WD
  • PSU
    ATX TP-600W
  • Display(s)
2 Acer 24" LED Full HD
  • Cooling
    ARCTIC Freezer 13
  • Keyboard
    Logitech G710+
  • Mouse
    Logitech G500s
  • Sound
    Onboard
  • Operating System
    Windows 7 Home Premium 64Bit

My Budet is about 1.000€ - 1100$ but Im happy when I dont have to spend everything so Price per Performance is an important part for me.

It can go above 1.000€ - 1100$ if it is worth it.

I already made a list of Hardware I considerd:

  • CPU
    Intel i7 4790K ~ 330€ - 357$
  • Intel i5 4690K ~ 250€ - 271$
  • Motherboard
    MSI Z97 Gaming 3 ~ 125€ - 135$
  • MSI Z97 Gaming 5 ~ 146€ - 158$
  • MSI Z97 Gaming 7 ~ 180€ - 195$
  • ASUS Z97 RoG VII Ranger ~ 160€ - 174$
  • ASUS Z97 Pro Gamer ~ 131€ - 142$
  • ASRock Z97 Fatal1ty Killer ~ 140€  - 152$
  • RAM
    Corsair Vengance 2x 8gb 1600mhz ~ 123€ - 133$
  • Corsair Vengance Pro 2x 8gb 1833mhz ~ 137€ - 149$
  • Hyper X Beast 2x 8gb 2400mhz ~ 145€ - 157$
  • G.Skill 1x 8gb 1333mhz ~ 70€ - 76$ (I already have 1 so I only need 1)
  • GPU
    ASUS GTX 970 Strix ~ 355€ - 384$
  • MSI GTX 970 Gaming ~ 370€ - 401$
  • Zotac ZT-90101-10P GTX 970 ~ 330€ - 357$
  • PSU
    Corsair CX 600W ~ 63€ - 68$
  • Corsair CX 750W ~ 95€ - 103$
  • Corsair RM 650W ~ 105€ - 114$
  • BeQuiet CM BQT L8 630W ~ 82€ - 89$
  • BeQuiet CM BQT L8 730W ~ 94€ - 102$
  • Cooling
    Corsair H100i ~ 106€ - 115$
  • Corsair H110 ~ 121€ - 131$

So yeah there is a lot of things I just dont know and thats why I dont know what I exactly need or what is good for this price.

I also dont know how much of power I need to run the System I choose.

And which of those are the most quiet ones?

Which Processor is better for its price for only gaming, recording and streaming purposes?

Are those mainboards worth its price or can I go with a cheaper one?

If not which one do you recommend?

Is Luquid cooling worth it? Or can I still go with an Air cooling concept?

As you probably recognized by now: Im fairly new to this whole thing to build a Computer by my own.

TLDR: I Want the best Price-per-performance set up, as quiet as possible

I hope you guys can save me

I would definitly go for the i5-4690k.

For now the Arctic Freezer does pretty well. I wouldn't upgrade it yet. First have a look on what overclocks you can get without an AIO liquid cooler.

I've seen that the EVGA GTX970 with the ACX cooler is pretty cheap right now. So I would definitly go for that.
And to go with that a nice EVGA PSU.

Upgrading your RAM isn't needed yet. You can buy an additional stick later on. But I think it would be helpful for streaming to have 16GB.

This should be fine. There is money to be saved if you so desire. For instance you can use the ssd you have which would save some money.

Could'nt find the price on the MSI mobo's. This is a replacement purely for the price  :P

The MSI Gaming 5 is a good mobo, and would recommend. The other ones are not really worth it... Just some extra features which arent that important for you I would think.

There are also other cases, I just really love this case, and its easy to build in.

PSU is abit overkill, but it is a very good psu. Can never go wrong there. And who knows, you might want to sli in the future  :P

But personally I would use a build like this, and modify it to your choice.

As for the 970: you won't regret it. For me it runs everything on ultra @ 1080p. And it also doesn't really matter which one you pick. They're all good.

Enjoy!

Edit: forgot to add the os... That's about €80..

Thank you all!

I really appreciate it.

First of all I should have added that Im going to keep my Storage and my Case.

So everything I need are the things listed below.

What confuses me the most in terms of motherboard is, what are the main differences?
Is the only difference in some BIOS features and the look?

and how should I know how much Watt I need?

http://pcpartpicker.com/calculates how much Watt you need. And yes some BIOS features aswell as some onboard features like more fan headers...

If you are going to keep the storage and the case. Then thats about a €200 and gives you the option of taking a 4790k, which you would benefit from if you are going to stream.

@Pikennen the best way of saving your cash is to keep the platform you're on and upgrade on the PSU, GPU, RAM and Cooling.

The PSU is excellent, almost perfect. The R9 290 is a great buy and powerful too. The RAM you can either purchase the kit I have here, or save even more cash and buy a second stick of the same which you already have. The NH-D14 is a beast CPU cooler, and you'll get a very nice OC on the 8320 and it will remain nice and cool (relative to FX CPU's). Any cash you save can go into buying a new monitor for gaming on, something like the Acer XG270HU or the BenQ XL27030Z. Alternatively you could wait for the high end IPS high refresh rate monitors that are sure to follow soon.

That psu is actually pretty poor. The 750W G2 is far better.
