Trouble with Bitspower Fittings

So I've been assembling my first loop and I am using Bitspower compression fittings with Primochill Advance LRT tubing. The size of both is 3/8 x 5/8. It was very difficult to get the tubing onto the barbs but I was able to do it with a lot of force. Now I'm struggling to get the compression rings to grab the threading and compress. It feels like the sizes are off but they're not. Is there a trick to getting these to fit? I've been trying for hours...

Dipping the tube in hot water, near boiling, softens up the tube and makes it easier to start threading, but don't tighten it while hot, it might tear or something (not likely)

Good advice. It kinda works.Still insanely hard but I've gotten a couple of them to work. It's super thick walled so I'm not worried abut it ripping, but it's very hot. My poor fingers... lol

Another tip so you don't burn your fingers is quickly dipping it in cold water after the hot water so the surface cools but it's still soft
