After eagerly waiting 2 hours for bf4 to install, my PC seems to crash around 2 minutes into a bf4 game, not in the main menus and most games are unaffected such as source games but this also happens but much less regularly in Hereos and Generals. BlueScreenView reports that is its dxgkrnl.sys causing the problem which seems to be direcxt not being happy.

What I've tried: Uninstalling driver, reinstalling driver (GPU driver), rolling back a few drivers, runnning GPU at stock clocks

Would appreciate any help and can upload the mini dump too, Thanks.

Specs are:

970 Strix (OC)

4770k (OC)

Asus VII Ranger

16GB Hyperx Fury

Building a pc is like lego, just more dangerous if you screw up.

have you tried putting the CPU at stock?

try removing all the RAM but 1 stick

last ditch effort reinstall Windows and hope its some odd piece of software causing this.

if none of that works take apart everything and build your computer on a cardboard box and only install components absolutely necessary to play battlefield. I hope these suggestions help.

I guess I should add that even though the error is related to DX it could be caused by just about anything. DX pulls resources from everywhere.
