I don't know about that PNY specifically but I know the ARC 100 are great SSDs for the money. Not 850 Pro territory but definitely a great upgrade from an HDD. Personally I'd go for the OCZ cause it's just well known for being solid.

how about firmware, do I  have to update it or can i just use it out of the box as my os drive
