After days and days, Youtube video after Youtube video, researching about CPUs, GPUs, how much ram I should get. What the fuck is overclocking? (I know. I was a filthy peasant.) I've come to a conclusion. This is the pc I'm getting:

It'll be used for generic gaming, MMOs, FPS games on med - high settings, movies, etc. Before making this purchase I just wanted to ask you guys, what do you think about this build? Thanks

Gaming on medium to high settings!?! 2 980s are awesome, push them to the limit, run all games on max settings. I have a single 970 and I run all my games on ultra. Never dips bellow 60 FPS

CPU: Intel i7-4790K @ 4.7GHz --- RAM: Lenovo 1600MHz 16GB --- MOBO: Gigabyte Z97-G7 --- GPU: EVGA GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0+--- PSU: Corsair CX600 --- Case: Corsair Air 540 --- Cooler: NZXT Kraken X61 --- OS: Windows 8.1 --- Monitor: 24" AOC G2460P + Dell 19" --- Mouse: Logitech MX Perfromance --- Keyboard: Corsair K70 (Cherry MX Brown) --- Audio: Sennheiser HD558

Don't buy a GTX 980, it's overpriced! Buy 2 GTX 970s or 2 R9 290s intstead (the R9 290s would even be cheaper)

I have to agree, 2x 980's is pretty overkill... Great for bragging rights, but overkill. As for the cooler, You say you are not overclocking, that's fine, but there are 'prettier' coolers out there ;) pretty solid build though over all.

Intel i7 4770k, Gigabyte Windforce GTX 970, MSI Gaming 7, 16G Hyperx Fury, Samsung Evo pro SSD.

No need for overclocking, I'm Boss enough.
