h100i not detecting cpu temps

Recently got my build up and running and made a custom curve in corsair link v2. Thing I noticed though is the fans staying at 500-700 rpm when doing the stability tests.

 

After looking I noticed that its monitoring the water temp instead of the cpu and I don't have an option for cpu. It also wont let me add one. 

 

It is also monitoring my corsair SSD which it added automatically.

 

Both fans are plugged into pump. Pump is plugged into usb header, cpu 1 header and sata power.

 

CPU is an i7 4770k

MOBO is Z87 GD65

OS is windows 8 pro 64-bit

 

Was told on corsair forums that it doesn't work for haswell cpu temps.

 

group it by H100i temp for now...they havnt implemented 4770K cpu temps yet

Is your CPU being detected with other 3rd Party Software such as HWMonitor?

It's the newest version on the h100i page.

Yes, has cores 0-3 and package.

Are you getting a motherboard reading for that or just the Core readings? Could you post a screenshot of your HWMonitor?

 

Also have you installed all your lastest motherboard drviers?

edit: yes I have the latest drivers. Used msi live update and all it shows me to download now is optional stuff like google toolbar and norton.

 

edit2: stuff it wants me to download left is: Command center, super raid, google toolbar, lucid virtu, norton internet security, safesync

Is your BIOS up-to-date?

 

If it is then I really don't know what the problem could be. You could try your luck in the Corsair forums as they could probably report this as a bug directly to their software team if it really is a bug in the Corsair Link software.

Yeah its up to date (v 1.3). I'll try my luck there, thanks.

 

Edit: Seems there is a firmware update to fix a detection issue. Extra thanks for the link, I wasn't able to find the firmware earlier, instead found a post of someone saying it came with the corsair link.

 

E2: Nope, all that did was turn the LED on.

try another USB port on the motherboard.

re-initialize the Corsair Link software and select a profile (any of them),

reboot and retest.

Perhaps re-installing it.
