Please get this:

You don't need an aftermarket cooler for this CPU and it'll out perform the 6300 by far. Also, better GPU, added SSD...

Change the platform, and go for the G3258. When you get the cash, upgrade to a 4670k or 4690k.

Not including a case but only cos you had none. You could drop the SSD (though I would drop the HDD first and stick in something else later) and budget $60 for a case

This leaves you set to either go dual GPU, any set-up and drop in a second-hand i7 in a few years when you feel you need a boost in performance for not too much dosh.

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-5.html

Also, feel free to pick a different motherboard. (Would suggest MSI as they have CA RMA centre if you have any issues) Though it will push you farther over budget

Also +1 for going second-hand.. I'd look at an i5 2500k or higher (i7 if you want) with mobo, ram and GPU.. Generally I';d stick to new on PSU and storage.

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P

Quote or @dzzope to get my attention..

As said, ditch the Fx 6300 and get the i5-4440. It's a much stronger CPU; it also consumes less power and generates less heat.

Is 450w enough for a windforce cooler?

With that in mind, will a 750w Gold 80+ CM V750 series be enough to power a windforce 980?? And to overclock a 4690k?

A 750w PSU could even hold 4-way SLI 980. So... yeah. Overkill all day.

Also, you should try getting 2x 970 instead of the 980. But if you can't, a 500w is going to be a sweet spot (just because of the PCIe connectors).
