Get a 600W-700W PSU from Corsair, SeaSonic or XFX. These power supplies are probably the best out these and most reliable. If you are planning on running a SLI configuration in the near future you will need to get a slightly bigger PSU, 700-850W depending on your configuration.

As for the case, anything you like will do just make sure of the following:

1- Enough space inside to fit motherboard and other components

2- Ample airflow to keep the system cool

3- That you actually like the case, no sense in buying something that you don't like.

Drop down to a 3570K, as it will handle pretty much handle all games, and you won't benefit from a 3770K over the 3570K. You can use the money you save to upgrade to a 680 or use it for your case and PSU.

As for case, get something you like and will fit all your components, like Broxigar said.

For PSU, 600W will be fine. I recommend the Silverstone Strider 600W Plus.

+1 to the strider plus

- You have a Z68 motherboard with an Ivy Bridge CPU, unless you have a Sandy Bridge CPU laying around you won't be able to use it as you need to update the BIOS before being able to use Ivy Bridge with it.

- The Corsair 650D isn't worth the price, get something like the Fractal Design Define R4 which has pretty similar features as the 650D but doesn't cost as much and in my opinion looks better.

- If you aren't going to utilize the extra threads from the i7 then go with a 3570K for $220 and save $100 as it's not going to give you a performance gain in gaming.

- For the motherboard grab an ASRock Z77 Extreme 4 for $135 one of the best boards you can buy and at a very low cost.

- Last generation card and will probably be expensive, grab a 7950 for $300 or 7970 for $400 both will give you great performance results in 1080p.

- For the power supply a Rosewill HIVE 550W will do the trick and goes for $60 on newegg, if you want room for CrossFireX/SLI in the future then get the 750W version for $90.

- You haven't listed a CPU cooler, I would recommend a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO for $35, you'll be able to give your system a respectable overclock.

- Drop down to 8GB RAM as again it's not going to give you a performance gain while gaming. More RAM =/= better.

- Why do you need 3TB of space? Stop downloading so much porn. No, but seriously you can save a bit of money and grab a 1TB and if you need more space then purchase another.

I don't know your budget but I suggested things based off the components you have previously chosen.

Please post your budget as well as the other things in that thread because at the moment peole are throwing parts around with no real idea of what the aim is. High end gaming could be 120hz on a single display or 3 displays, watercooled, running Ares II.

3570K - I would normally offer the 8350 but because this is purely gaming go the 3570K

CM 212 Evo or Noctua D14 for higher overclocking past about 4.2

Asus P8Z77 series or similar (ASRock Z77 Pro series) - comes down to features vs price

8GB Corsair Vengeance (low profile) - don't need anything more than this

Sandisk Extreme 120GB SSD - boot disk

Seagate Barracuda 1TB - storage

Silverstone Strider Plus 600w - you don't need anything more than this.

MSI 660TI or 670 PE or Asus CUII 670 - Just depends on sorta pricing.

I've done this off the top of my head and it should be around about $1500. If not, go the 660TI and drop the SSD to an Intel 330 60GB + a cheaper PSU. I went with that one because it's fully modular.

Looking at that price - damn.

Drop the board to a P8Z77-V or -M Pro for -$100. Corsair 600M PSU for about -$80 more, the SSD to an Intel 330 60GB for -$80, possibly down to a 660TI for another -$200.

Your other option is to wait a while longer and save up some more.
