the i7 4770k and 4790k are the same the only difference is the clock speed you could just overclock the 4770k and it would be the same

I heard its hot and since I will be particularly over-clocking apparently the 4790k does it better.. What clock for clock speed would the 4770k perform a 4790k at about 4.3

the 4770k at stock speed should run cooler than a 4790k due to the 4770k being at a lower clock speed but dont quote me on that because i have never used any of them and i dont really understand what you mean when u say "What clock for clock speed would the 4770k perform a 4790k at about 4.3"

The 4770k isn't gonna overclock as much as the 4790k, but since it's basically the same chip there isn't any other difference.

Some people reported in the past that they have very unbalanced core temps due to the worse TIM used on the 4770k vs the 4790k, but I wouldn't worry too much about it.

A lot of people say this, but this is based on if you do not overclock the 4790k, if you overclock both of them, they are not "pretty much" the same. :P

but 4770k the answer you are looking for. :D

as for my opinion, if you are looking for best performance/price ratio... i5-4440 and a gtx 970.

no its based on the fact that they are the same processor just one is at a higher clock speed than the other so technically if you have them running both at the same speed u will not even notice a difference at all

I'd definitely get the 290. The 290 is still being compared to top products like the 970 and sometimes even the 980. 290 vs 770? The 290 would absolutely destroy the 770 as for the 7970, getting pretty old now and the heat/temps are pretty hard to compensate for.

I trip to make the fall shorter

Linus 4770k vs 4790k

I think the temperature difference alone is worth the price difference. Only my opinion of course.

Actually finding lower prices on the 4790k on the list, but im not going to harp on that.

I'd have to argue the 970 has it's advantages.

Mainly power consumption and heat output. also dead silent when under 60degrees C.

See what you think about the i5-4440, you wont overclock it, but it should run every game you throw at it, and you get a 970, saving you money in the process and getting higher fps with a cooler case. just an opinion.
