From the looks of it, you are planning to operate a Nuclear Power Station, which this PC should fully be capable of. This PC build is what I dream of on every other day basis.

As long as you're planning on putting this machine to good use, then it looks great. otherwise, I'd get something with a bit less punch like an i5. If that's the system you want, however, go for it! Can't hurt.

Usage?

If it's for playing games @1080.. your going way over the mark.

What OCZ drive is that, PSU?

Personally I'd wait for a good implementation of SFF-8643(On PCI-E, not PCH) before going down the 2011 route.

NVME drives are here and they are incredible.. can't wait to see it matched to 3d Nand.

I'd go for 32 GB of RAM so the rest of the parts don't get bottle necked.

Bottle necked? HOW? Show me how to bottle neck this system? Unless you know, CAD or something.

More RAM is better, but if it's not used there's no point going to 32GB.... No performance benefit.

Like a Samsung SM951 M.2 Gen3 x4 SSD (256GB)? Although I think that uses the M.2, not plugged into PCI-E directly.

1000W is too much, 32GB is unnecessary but you "can".

i use it to game

If gaming, 32GB RAM is just too much. 8GB is already enough or 16GB if you want to play safe, 32GB? If you're mainly gaming an i5 (4690K) is better for you, then you can get better GPU.

I would double the RAM, add an SSD for a hard drive and maybe go up to a GTX 980. I would be super happy with that build.

I would stick with the i7-4790 since some games still don't use multi-core well.

its a gtx 970 in sli so twice the cards

True, i didn't notice. 2x GTX970 will perform better then a 980. Generally, I dont like to SLI though, just a preference. Make sure its two cards and not just saying it's SLI ready.

why dont u like sli

Extra heat, two devices to deal with instead of one. I don't think the extra performance is worth the money. On the other hand, if one fails, at least you have another one ready till you replace it and less of a stress in SLI I think. Then again, the more stuff you have packed in the the higher chance you have of something going wrong.

Keep in mind, that's just my opinion, some or maybe even many, might disagree.

If you SLI, i think you are looking at maybe between 6-12FPS increase in most games, check the price difference between 2x970GTX vs one 980GTX and consider if that increase in frame rate is worth the money.

Also, are we playing on 1080p or higher? If higher then 1080p then that's a lot of stress for one card and it might be better to get SLI

If your gaming at 1080p a single 970 would do (Apart from the MOST demanding games and even then just turn down some of the settings that have minimal visual effect but impact performance).

The res of the game will dictate what card to get in a major way.

I5 vs i7, depends on what games you play.. there are some that will see a nice performance bump with the extra threads.

If budget isn't a problem I'd go i7 4790k, decent cooler of choice, z97 motherboard with features you need/want

8 - 16GB 2133 ram (if your a multi-tasker the 16 can be useful)

970

OCZ wector/vortex... V-something 180 (new model) 240GB or 480GB + 1-3 TB storage as per your needs (*if you store loads of movies/series then go big, otherwise 1TB is probably plenty)

Case of your choice (Personally I'd go mid tower and silent)

Decent 750 - 850Watt PSU (to allow SLI if you want to go there) of a decent PSU (Check johnny Guru for good reviews) EVGA G2 are awesome and decent price, there are lots of options but check reviews. Usual brands are Corsair, EVGA, XFX, Seasonic to name a few.

I don'T PreSS caPs.. I juST Hit THe keYboARd so HarD iT CriTs :P
