Yeah I'm currently on my MBP 15" mid 2010. I mainly use it at/for school, and also to surf and watch movies when I'm in bed.

For everything else, I have my gaming rig : 3570k@4.3 (OC subject to change, I like messing around with it) GTX670, 8GB, 128GB SSD.

I chose to get a mac because I wanted to give it a try. I had the money to do it, I wanted to try something new, and I needed a durable laptop for school.

And I'm happy with it so far, after 2 and a half year, it still looks good as new, and gives me a solid 5hrs on battery.

I use a 2008 13'' Mac Book which works perfect for on-the-go use, school use, and watching youtube. Also, tbh I do most of my web browsing from the comfort of my bed, so a laptop is a bit of a must and I've never had a problem with this. For gaming and video editing and any real usage, I use a main x79 rig.

Workstation: 3930k @ 4.3GHz under an H100 - 4x8GB ram - infiniband HCA  - xonar essence stx - gtx 680 - sabretooth x79 - corsair C70 Server: i7 3770k (don't ask) - lsi-9260-4i used as an HBA - 6x3TB WD red (raidz2) - crucia m4's (60gb (ZIL, L2ARC), 120gb (OS)) - 4X8GB ram - infiniband HCA - define mini  Goodies: Røde podcaster w/ boom & shock mount - 3x1080p ips panels (NEC monitors for life) - k90 - g9x - sp2500's - HD598's - kvm switch

Yes macs have a place.

More often than not it's the hipster place adorned with beats headphones and nike hi-tops.

It may be a shock to some people, but despite the above, occasionally some people buy them because they actually like the OS.

The build quality of the machines themselves is generally quite good, although they massively overcharge for the hardware. If people want get ripped off for hardware prices that's their problem not mine.

The OP is who's browsing LTT Forums with a Mac, a site dedicated to PC (non-Mac) tech info and builds. That is why it s a fail for those on here with a Mac.
