I have an ASUS TF300 n wanted to make a car charger

i have a left over laptop charger surplus from selling my laptop its a http://mobile.maplin.co.uk/module.aspx?moduleno=628775 n was wondering if i got a 2nd charge/sync cable just chopped the end off n chopped the usb end off the charge/sync cable and attached it to the laptop car charger would it still work seen as the tablet charges at 15v and was just what other people thoughts on something like this were ?

Any thoughts opinions ideas welcome

Hi,

This can be done. But I'm not saying you should. These tablets have way fewer protection than laptops. If you do something wrong you most probably end up with a broken tablet.

Also I have newer done this so I can only give you links to pinouts and such.

If you know some electronics and know you can do it you can find discussion of this from xda. I can links some posts soon.
