Hello iv put off Linux for a long long time because i like playing games " AAA titles " among other things, windows has really been the only option .

I have a question but first i'd like to say that iv managed fedora, centOS servers mainly for personal use and testing random stuff out of curiosity so getting used to Linux full time is a hump i can roll over so thats not an issue and theres so much information out there about Linux its easy to pick with time,With steamOS been out for a little bit now and wine matured more so how is gaming ?

some games i play

COD black ops

assassins creed

farcry

tomb raider

gta 5 just throwing this in here in case someone has herd something

Nope, none of them run natively. However, you may try your luck with compatibility layers such as WINE and PlayOnLinux.

Linux has been seeing a fair bit of attention lately as for game support. None of the games you've listed will run native on Linux. Most of them run decently through WINE according to the WINEHQ database. Although I would stick to Windows as Linux still has a little ways to go before it reaches the point where people will start moving over from Windows due to game support. It's going to take a couple more years before most of your big game titles are rolling out regularly with Linux support.

The more people wait, the longer it's going to take, of course.

I'd suggest a dualboot setup to everyone who is interested in Linux.  Get steam for Linux, see which of your preferred games are available for it and play those in Linux only.  Use Windows (or Wine or PlayOnLinux) for the rest of your games.
