Dristans aka Diarmit gpu

Hello, my friend Dristan aka djerment is looking for a new graphics card he has found a deal on a 7850 for 60 euro is the 7850 better than an ps4

Thanks his adres is 9403WC you are welcome there

You cannot compare different architectures like that. The SUBSYSTEMS of a Console work differently than a PC.

The Consoles have an API that allows more performance from one part, compared to the same on a desktop.

The 7850 is a good card for 60euro, but you could possibly find a better deal elsewhere on the 7870/7950 series of cards.

This would be my recommendation.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

A better bet would be do what I said... find the best card for the money thats better than that, if its a 7850//7870//7950 within budget then go for it.

It will perform similar, the 1080p performance is great, however PC games actually allow you to modify the graphics used on screen.

You could set High-ULTRA Texture quality, and lower details (shadows/particles/Antialiasing) elsewhere and get OVER 60fps in a lot of titles.

However a lot of prefer more details, and possibly on the 7850 you could no doubt pull Medium-High details with High Texture quality and be on par.

This is why the MORE performing part,.. for the least amount of cash is best obviously,.. the 7950 can be had for $100-120 on ebay and around the net, this is THE best bet for your friend.

With a 7870/7950 you can keep a higher framerate at even higher details, these cards are not much more expensive.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Well the 7950's are really expensive here so i think we just go for the 7850 and overclock it

That's fair enough..

Just don't expect miracle performance that hands down floors a PS4 when they have systems in place to get more performance out of similar powered cards. PS4 is equivalent to 7850 power, but uses it better and gets more performance than any desktop 7850 can.

Better is subjective..to what you WANT out of your games...

The PS4 cannot change graphical details, the PC games can, you could have Better looking games at 30-50fps, or similarly looking games at 50-60+fps.
