Bottle neck or not?

Go to solution Solved by DrShiba,

Sure you can. If you upgrade your CPU, that'd be a lot better. Also consider buying an SSD, because the HDD will always be a bottleneck imho.

Processor = Intel g3258 (planning to upgrade to i5 4670k or 4690k)

Mobo = msi z97 gaming 5

Ram = corsair vengeance 8gb 1866 (2x4gb)

HDD = WD caviar black 1tb

Case = aerocool gt-a

PSU = corsair cx750m

GPU = Evga gtx 760 2gb w/acx

Coz i already bought them. Those parts were very expensive here in the philippines. And i bought them in the US (cpu case and psu from PH)

What do you think guys? can i play 2014-2015 games using this build? Sorry newbie here.

In 1080p, yes. Only if you don't mind turning down the settings a bit in demanding titles.

Does SSD and HDD really matter? Maybe i do have a plan of buying one. But my idea was to use it only for my OS then the other stuffs would be at the HDD

Yes, SSD is a lot faster than HDD. SSD for your operating system and some programs that you use frequently. HDD should be used for everything else.

So what does SSD really do? I dont have any idea. I've seen some vids on youtube but those comparison are just for boot time(which i really dont care, as long as it does take too much time like the windows updates. LOL) does it affect the gaming performance of the pc?

SSD makes your Windows run faster. It won't really affect the gaming performance, but loading maps in FPS or other types of games will be a lot faster.
