Hello guys,

I'm sorry for asking this question, since its been asked quite a lot I guess.

I currently own a 290x with the DCU2 cooler by Asus.

Now somebody wants to trade his evga 970 for my 290x if I pay $30 extra.

Would this be smart or do you guys think the 290x is smarter?

I want to play games on my 1080p 144hz screen for the next couple of years.

Please give me your reasons on which option you think is the best ;)

I like the coolness of the 970, but I don't know if the 3.5gb vram is any problem.

They perform about equal, with the 970 being more power efficient

However the 290 would be *slightly* better for higher resolutions

Specs: CPU: AMD FX 6300 Motherboard: Gigabyte 970A DS3P RAM: HyperX Fury 16GB 1866MHz GPU: MSI R9 270 OC edition Case: Sharkoon VS3-S SSD: Samsung 840 EVO 120GB HDD: 1TB Caviar Blue PSU: Corsair CX500W

*If I say something that seems offensive, please don't take it seriously, it was most likely meant as a joke/sarcastically*
