Hello all from Germany!

1. Budget & Location

1000 euro or ~ 1100 usd, Germany

2. Aim

Office PC and playback of FullHD content (Youtube etc.). The pc is for my uncle. He said 1000 euro but i think it is way too much for his demands!

3. Monitors

One FullHD-monitor

4. Peripherals

No peripherals and no OS/software is needed

5. Why are you upgrading?

His old machine from the early 2000's or even late 90's needs to be replaced  :P

I configured on build with some prices from Germany. I dont think there is a big difference in pricing...

CPU: Intel i5-4460T 194,89 Euro

MB: ASRock Z97M Anniversary 94,90 Euro

RAM: Crucial 16 GB (2x8GB) DDR3-1600 Ballistix Sport Kit 117,90 Euro

SSD: ADATA Premier Pro SP900 256 GB 107,90 Euro

Case: Cooler Master Silencio 352 54,90 Euro

PSU: SilverStone SST-ST30SF 300 Watt 49,99 Euro

620,48 Euro

My focus was in a silent config with Intel HD 4600 Graphics. If I am right the PSU can turn the fan during low loads completely off. The RAM might be too much, but the system should do its work for at least 10 years. I dont know if the T-version of the cpu is the right choice, but i chose it because of the low TDP. I also had the i3-4350T on the paper which is about 50 Euros less. Both must be suitable for the demands but i want to stay future proof.

I am thankful for every help i get!

Greetings from Germany

that psu is an sfx psu intended for SSF cases. you can however use it with atx cases as well.

16gb ram seems overkill.

I know it is SFX but i dont find any other one which turns the fan completely off.

Don't get the z mobo if you can get anything cheaper. Your CPU can't overclock.

So the ASRock H97M Anniversary? It is 20 Euros less. I know it cant be overclocked, but i dont want to. I just dont know if a normal version is better, because i've read that with idle load the power consumption and heat dissipitation is almost the same.

I know it is SFX but i dont find any other one which turns the fan completely off.

so the fan turns off while the system is idling, but during load the psu is most likely louder than most atx psus.

also i have my doubts, that the psu fan is actually louder than the stock intel cooler.
