If i was to splurge 100$ for ath m40x how much of a better experience would i get for 3x the cost?

I also have another question but about massdrop in general, if i purchase two will i have to pay shipping on each? Also if anyone is from EU can i get a confirmation there is no tax/customs complictions.

If you buy two, I don't think shipping is for just one. I'm not positive though. Maybe ask in the Massdrop discussion of this item.

This particular item doesnt ship to EU, sometimes Massdrop does ship to EU, not on this item though. You could order it and then ship it to EU yourself, just make sure you send it as a gift when filling out customs documents.
